Jeonju

I ate instant noodle from Youngmi for breakfast, a student came into the sleeping place but I pretended normal people then I left at 9:30am.

I went to bus terminal and bought a bus ticket to Jeonju.

Gwangju to Jeonju 6600W

There is a bus every 10 minutes though, my ticket is in 40 minutes!?
So many people take bus to Jeonju today…!!

The bus got to Jeonju in an hour.

But tourist information close between noon to 1pm, so I can’t get a map and don’t know how to go to city center.
Even many people make long line in Taxi..
Wow.. Jeonju is such a touristic city..!!

Anyway, I headed to bus stop and asked a girl to go city center but she didn’t know it.
I asked other woman again, she said she also go to city center and suggested take taxi together.
Her name is Sujin, she came from Seoul by herself for sightseeing today.
She couldn’t speak English and I couldn’t speak Korean but we understood each other*
We got off a taxi in front of famous sweets shop, PNB, she paid taxi fee for me!!

We took photo together, I said good bye to her.
I got to Jeonju Hanoku, most touristic place in Jeonju in 10 minutes by walk.

There are many many many people!!!!

And many people wear traditional Korean dress!!
And there are long line in many restaurant!!
Wow… Jeonju was so famous place…

I went to tourist information near traditional palace and got map and some information.

This is a ticket to the palace, 1000W

Then I entered…oops!! I forgot to put baggage to free keeping service!!
I asked a ticket staff to enter again with today’s ticket, then I went out to tourist information again.

But the free baggage keeping service is in other information center, in 10 minutes walk.

Other tourist information for free baggage keeping service until 5pm.
There was a staff who speak Japanese!

Then I went back to palace.

When I went inside…

The main palace was under construction…
So I walked just around…

There were some traditional house and museum.
I walked around twice but just took 30 minutes…
When I tried to go out, someone talked to me in Japanese.

Who is she…?

Ah! She is the information staff who speak Japanese!!

She came to a palace for free tour guide in Japanese, but there was no people at that time.
So she suggested show me around out of the palace!! Yatta-!!（＞▽＜）

Her name is Ho, she had been to Japan 2 years for study.

She explained many story about Jeonju and took photo of me.
She even asked local people who wore traditional dress to take photo with me!!（＞▽＜）

She brought me to nice view spot, I couldn’t come here without her!!
Then we went back to tourist information in an hour.

She gave me a old map of Jeonju for souvenir*
And she suggested going Korean musical for tonight, she had coupon, the price will be discounted from 30000W to 8000W,very good deal, and she booked it for me*

It was 3pm, baggage keeping time until 5pm, so she gave me more advice for sightseeing by myself.

I walked around small pass in touristic area.

Walked around South market.
It reminds me local market in Okinawa!

I came back to touristic area, then wanted to eat something as I didn’t eat anything after breakfast.
I found interesting ice cream.

U-Corn 3000W

It seems this ice is a trend in South Korea now.
Ice taste was nice but corn was not so.

I walked through a flower garden, then got to tourist information to take a baggage.
When I sat down on a chair, a cute girl came into information center to ask something.
She asked in Korean but she was Taiwanese.
Ho-san said to me, she will stay in Sauna tonight, so why don’t we go there together.

Ok, I suggested going musical together, she agreed with that.
Her name was Becky, who came to South Korea for exchange student in Seoul.
She could speak Korean fluently!!
I meet many nice people today*

I thought we take dinner together but she didn’t hungry.
While I go to dinner, she said she will buy Choco Pie in PNB, the famous sweets shop.

Really!?

I wanted but always long line, so I didn’t try it, but she will buy the pie for me too!!

This is the PNB, looooog line always.

Then I went to dinner by myself.

I went to a restaurant that I found in someone’s blog first, I wanted to eat Beef pot for 7000W but they serve it for 2 people!!（＞＿＜）

Ummm, what I eat… I walked around and found other similar restaurant.
They serve Beef pot for 10000W, and 1 person was OK.
Ok, I eat here!

Wooooow!! So huge!!
Too much for me!!
It’s for 2 people!!

The taste was nice, I ate half and full!!

Then I went to a theater for musical, but Becky didn’t come.
I didn’t expect the line to choco pie take more than 1.5 hour!!（＞＿＜）

I went inside a theater alone, then Becky come in 10 minutes.

The musical was very nice even I didn’t understand Korean language at all!!
I couldn’t take any photo there.

Musical finished in 1.5 hour, I got 2 piece of Choco pie, 1600W each.
I can’t imagine the taste of Choco pie takes 1.5 hour to buy.

Then we went to Sauna that we stay tonight.
7000W for enter.

It’s very cheap, we can take bath and sauna, and sleep!!（＞▽＜）

We took bath first then we took Rub skin by towel for 20000W.
The price was same from big city but long time!!
I like this*

We changed clothes after bath, then went to share sauna.

Oh!! Everyone already sleep!!
Yeah, it was already midnight.
This is the first time we stay in Sauna for sleep, but this view is interesting(LOL)
Today was center day of 3 days holiday, many people than usual.

We took space for us, I did ear-plug and eye-mask, then fel asleep.
