To Flagstaff

Today Hiromi will come to pick me up by rented a car.
I looked for couch and I asked Hiromi about car.
When I called to Hiromi asking about a car, she already booked 130$/week, so I was glad she good job though…

From San Diego to Flagstaff take about 8hours, so I said to Hiromi “I wanna leave San Diego around 8 or 9am” but Hiromi didn’t show up.
My couch Host Hilda also have to leave her home, so I just went out and waited Hiromi in outside.
But she didn’t show up…

She said, “I will buy map before go to your place and if I got lost I call you”, but she didn’t call me at all.
I worried about she got an accident or something, so I called her many time but she didn’t answer it.
I don’t have any other contact on her boat, so nothing to do.
Just I waited and waited, she finally showed up on 10:30…!!

“Sorry~~:D I passed your place a little bit..”

I asked what happened.
To be honest, she passed my place just a little bit, actually she started preparing to leave after she sent a message “I leave now”…
I was relieved as she didn’t get accident but I already finished preparing on 8:30..so please hurry up for me~~!! 🙁

Then when I asked about the price of rent a car, I really surprised.
520$ for 1 week…NO WAY!!!

I asked about the details but it’s because of insurance and tax…she said.
Why didn’t you call me when you got the final price!?!?
When I checked in internet, I found a 10$/day insurance, so I thought Hiromi also take it after comparing…. but it seems she don’t think about saving money so much..???
I thought I decide rent a car after talking with Hiromi, so I didn’t book it by myself, but she booked already without asking me,,,, so I was soooo surprised when I heard she already booked a car.
But the price was cheap, that’s why I thought it was Ok though….it was wrong decision for me…

I had to check the suitable one by myself and then I had to tell it to Hiromi~!!!!(cry)
I was soooo shocked but she already rented a car,,,, so nothing to do…
I don’t blame her…
I had bad luck after came to America…

Well, the map Hiromi bought was just for San Diego, so I’m afraid it’s useless,, just I downloaded a map from San Diego to Flagstaff by my ipod touch, then let’s go by my navigation~!!!

3hrs to Flagstaff!!
..Actually, today is just driving.
Flagstaff is the city just nearby Grand canyon and Sedona.

Well,,, I haven’t have reply from my couch host in Flagstaff yet.
She gave me an answer “Accept!” but she didn’t tell me the address and phone number.
So I just sent her, “I leave morning and can’t connect internet, so please tell me your address and phone nubmer to my phone by SMS.”, but no answer yet…
I’m not sure I can get a couch tonight…

Eventually, after we arrived at Flagstaff, I haven’t have the answer yet, so we decide going hostel.

When we just walking around train station,,,

Oh, this is a hostel, isn’t it!?
When I asked the price, it is 24$ including breakfast!! Wow, that’s a good deal!!
There are car park too! Let’s stay here!!

Hostel after long time.

I found a Japanese boy sitting on a couch, I said “Good evening~! :D” in Japanese.
“Wow!! Are you Japanese too!?!? I’m soooo glad!!! :D:D:D”

Tomo came to America to travel for 20days by himself but he is not good at English, so he felt a little bit lonely.
That’s why when he found me, he was so glad. Yeah, I know how he feel! 😀

We talked something, then we went to restaurant for dinner together.

Hamburger, Pita, Salad, and 1 glass of beer a each.
What a volume!!!
1 dish for 3 people was enough!!!
I couldn’t eat all..!!

We paid 50$ all together.

At the same time, I checked internet though, I got a reply from the host in Flagstaff but….
“My phone doesn’t work!!!”

that’s all.

….ummmm,,,, she accepted my request but she didn’t give me her address and any information…
If she doesn’t have a mobile phone, why she didn’t give me an address and meeting place??
If she can’t host, why she declined…, I can’t understand it…
This is the first time that I couldn’t meet a host even she already accepted.

After dinner, we just went back to hotel, then we played this! 😀
Hiromi was very good and won 3 times..!!

Beginner us (?) said we don’t finish this game if we don’t won! but I won 4th!!
Yeah, it was finished by my won~ 😀

Then we went back to our dorm though, it started raining so hard…!!
We plan to go to Sedona tomorrow, so please be good weather tomorrow!!!
