Slave boat

“Good morning”

I said to Hiromi just wake up on the bed beside of my bed.

“You can sleep more~:)”

So I slept more.
…well,,, I worried about my computer last night,,,, I saw a dream that my computer was fixed, then I wake up and checked my computer….but same,,,is broken..
Besides, the strange lines on screen are growing..!! 🙁

I was disappointed, then I wake up at 8am, the breakfast was already set up.
We always ate breakfast at outside but we were in wheel house as rain from last night.

After breakfast, I wanted to go to washroom, so I borrowed a security card from Hiromi.
Now I’m staying on a boat in marina though, we can’t use it for big one…
And also the permitted staff can go in and out.

There are marina office in front of the marina, also there are washroom, shower room, spa, pool, restaurant and bar.

I walk thorough under the rain.
I thought San Diego is almost sunny day…

I finished my business, then went back to boat.
There is just this step to go inside.
I’m wearing flip flap, so I have to be careful!

I was back already, then just I did internet though, skipper Stive talked about something to crews include Hiromi.
Then he disappeared after glanced me.

Well,,, in fact,,, when I arrived here, Stive said to me, “You need help us if you stay here longer”.

“What..?” I and Hiromi surprised it but he said “Just a easy and small job. don’t worry about it.”
Then the talking was finished.

Well, I didn’t ask Hiromi the details about my staying here before I came though, I of course thought I can travel around with Hiromi.
But it seems she still have to work, Hiromi asked me “Could you help us..?”.

“Well,, aha”
Yeah, I help you for something of course!!

“Ok thanks. Then change your cloth to dirty one”
“W, what!? How dirty???”
“Dirtier is better.”

Ummmmm, I came here as tourist anyway, I don’t have dirty cloth though…

Hiromi passed her dirty T-shirt and pant to me, and I ware it.

Then she took me the place that I do something.

“Take everything out from the bathroom and clean everywhere please”

WWWWW, Whaaaaat!?!?!?!? I don’t think it’s just easy and small job!!
To be honest, I don’t wanna do that at all.

While I thought like that, the other crew already started cleaning the place, so I changed to help other thing… whoa.

This is the place just Hiromi asked me.

“Well, I go under the boat and pass you some stuffs, so please put these on there :)”
“Ok, I got it”

Hiromi went inside of the bottom of the boat, she passed something heavy stuff, so I put these on there.
But these are quite heavy, it looks danger a little bit I thought.
After she took everything to outside, Hiromi said such a thing.
“Well, Sue, can you come inside?”
“Huh..?? Sorry but what I do inside..??”

I saw the place just Hiromi was there, I never wanna go inside.

“Come inside, then take the muddy sand :)”
“WHAT!?!? By my hand!?!?”
“Yes :)”

Hey Hiromi! What are you saying!?!?
I really don’t wanna take the dirty and wet sand by my hand! I don’t wanna be my nails dirty!!(cry)
I think it not the job for guest!!!!

“E, Excuse me… do you have mask??”
“Oh sorry, the mask is out of order, but we have the mask for gas emergency”
“I don’t need it!! Ok, I just use my towel on my face, wait a minute”
Just I went back to my bed, then I put a towel on my face.

Then she gave me a plastic glove for hand.

Oh, you had a plastic glove! 😀
That’s the story,,, I may took the sand by my hand..?
Hey stop!! But why I have to take it by hand!?!?

Then Hiromi went inside and started taking the sand by her hand…. just putting thin beniel glove…

I also tried to take the sand by hand as well…

But I couldn’t understand at all why we do such a thing by hand.
To be honest, I don’t wanna do that anymore.

“E, Excuse me,,, but how long will this work take??”
“Well, well~, it take until tomorrow :)”

….this is for example,,, the host let the guest help their washroom cleaning all day long after 2days staying on their house in couch surfing.
This is totally worse though…

“I’m sorry but I can’t do this. Instead of that, I clean bathroom. It that OK!?!?”
“Well~, that’s right. Come to think of it, there is no sense if 2 people do this work. Please do that :)”

I’m relieved!! I don’t wanna do that even if I could get money..!!!!

This is the work just Himori did under the boat.
She took muddy wet sand by hand, then washed it by water.
I think she is awesome doing the work, but I think she is awesome to ask this work for friend..!!!（＞＿＜）

“If you wanna escape, just make some reason for skipper, run away at anytime :)”

I laugh somehow about her joke.

Well, if I stay on the boat more, I may have to work 5 days a week, just I can take day off on weekend with Hiromi…

The mail Hiromi sent to me, “Why don’t you come to San Diego?” means “Why don’t you come to San Diego (for volunteer work)” I guess now.

I came here for sightseeing, not for volunteer work…I have to leave here ASAP!!

Well, actually, I had bad luck.
Skipper Stive said “you need help us”, my computer was broken by tea, clothes as well dirty by tea, I wanted wash my clothes but the laundry is broken this morning, I need pass go and in, there is no power and wi-fi for my computer, I can’t update my blog, it was rainy and today as well….

Anyway, I do cleaning as I stayed here 2 nights and ate 4 meals.

2 Bathrooms. cleaning, wiping, washing.

Our room’s floor. wiping.

Corridor. wiping.

Pasta for lunch.

Kitchen’s floor. wiping.

Wheel house’s floor and chair. sweeping.

Steps. wiping.

Cockpit. wiping.

Whoa~… I came to San Diego 2days aga but what I’m doing here???
I found here is the boat for slave…
If I stay here, I guess every day gonne be like today.
I planed stay here 2 or 3 weeks here but I can’t think about that just helping boat work everyday and just get 2days weekend off.
And also the boat is just stopping, not going on the sea this period.
(Yeah, this boat just stopping on marina for maintenance for next January sealing.)

I must leave now…!!!!

After cleaning every floor, I just turned my computer on, then search the place to stay on the couch surfing!

I read and send a request next by next.

“I’d be happy if you host me for several nights between tonight to Saturday..!”

Cristina was on her work at that time, but her mother Hilda came to pick me up by car kindly!!

“Well, see you on weekend Hiromi!”

Hilda took me to island Coronado.
We went to beach for 2 dogs.
