Expensive wine

Joe’s friend’s, Ben came to Khao Yai, so we will meet him at somewhere.
I and Joe already ate dinner, so I didn’t need worry about restaurant tonight.

The meeting place was Chocolate factory, good quality but expensive shop.
We met Beer first at car park, then met Ben for the first time at the shop.
Ben came to Khao yai to look somewhere ground for built apartment for Thai people.

We sat down to table, we ate chocolate sweets.
They talked something, then they decided to go to good restaurant afterwards…but everyone already had dinner before.

I surprised but we moved to good restaurant anyway.

I just ordered cheapest salad, but Ben and Beer ordered expensive dishes..oh no~.

But every dishes were very yummy! Very good quality!!
I really wanted to eat these with wine, but we just drunk water.
When we finished the dishes, Ben asked me something.
“Do you like wine?”
“Yes, I love wine very much”
“What kind of wine do you like?”
“I like bitter taste though..”

When I answered so, Ben asked staff to bring menu and he ordered wine without asking to the other people, even he didn’t asked me either.

Why!! Why he order wine after dinner!?
If he order wine, please order with dinner!!

I wonder he doesn’t know how to drink wine…

But he ordered wine bottle without any asking to other people, it means he will pay it by himself.

A staff opened the bottle to Ben, Ben tasted it, then staff gave wine to everyone.

The taste was very heavy, bitter.
I thought the wine is not for after dinner, if we drink wine after dinner, I prefer dessert wine or light taste.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter as Ben will pay for it.

I wanted to know the price, so I told to Joe to ask it for Ben.
Ben said “2200B”.

WHAT!! 2200B!??(about 70USD)
I never drink such expensive wine even in Japan!!
Anyway, Ben will pay though…

I asked to Ben, “Do you like wine?”
He said, “Not really”

WHAAAAT!! If he doesn’t like wine, why he ordered wine after dinner!?!?

I didn’t say anything to him, but I wonder why why why.

Moreover Beer and Joe doesn’t like wine so much, they just drunk 1 glass, so I drunk wine more.
While I drunk wine, Ben ordered ice cream and coffee for dessert just for himself…no one ordered dessert though..

I felt something bad feeling…
Then my bad feeling was correct, they split the bill…

Ben’s wine made our cost higher!!
He also ordered ice cream and coffee for himself!!
He should pay for those!!

As you see from the photos, we just ordered 4 dishes.
It means the cost was about 600B each, but turned 1000B each for wine, ice cream and coffee…

As I wrote first, we already had dinner, we didn’t expect we should pay such expensive dinner cost.
Joe asked me about helping money, I passed money under the table.
Then Joe paid money as our cost.

Beer and Ben went back, and we got on car.
My feeling was not good, angry actually.
Ben should have paid the cost for wine, ice cream and coffee!! Why we split the bill!?
Joe said “For them, it’s not so expensive, just normal cost”.
But for us, it’s expensive!!

Beer and Ben are rich people but we are just normal people.
Every time I worry if Joe say we go to dinner with his friends.
Joe’s friends order expensive dishes, but they split the bill every time.

We can eat normal foods just in 50B in Thailand, but we pay 2000B every time…（＞＿＜）

I love wine very much but I don’t want to drink wine in Thailand…
