Ruisui

I woke up before 7am.

Bau-Shiam, I call her Daidai from now though, she prepared these for me.

We left home at 8am, I got a ride on the back of Daidai’s motorcycle.

We bought breakfast here.
Traditional Taiwan pankake(?) and soy milk for 30NT(about 1.20USD)

Then got on the motorcycle again to Daidai’s university.

On the motorcycle~!
About 80km/h!
It’s cloudy day, so I felt chilly a little bit!

We got to her university, 国立東華大学 in 30min,
Hualien is famous for stone, there are many stone art in the university.
And we found Japanese artist’s stone!!

We eat the breakfast in front of the lake*

We walk around beautiful university.

After university tour, Daidai took me to nearby train station by motorcycle.

Shoufeng train station.

To Ruisui for 104NT(about 4USD) by express train.

I got on the train.
It’s the express train, wide and also food sells girl walked through on the train!

It’s the view from the train window, then I got to Ruisui in 40min~.

I got some information from information center.

I rented a bike in front of the train station for 100NT(about 4USD) for a day.
Shop staff didn’t give a bike lock, so I asked her about it.
She said we don’t need a bike lock as it’s safe town, wow! I believe it, OK!

I went to eat lunch here where Daidai told me.

30NT(about 1.20USD)

Rice ball soaked in soup, chicken inside.
Yummy~!!!

Now then, I will go to sightseeing~!

But I got lost from first…as the map on the information center was useless..

Anyway, I passed the place that I planted to go first, so I headed to main sight.

Bicycle~.
No one, few cars~.

No way! I have to go on such a steep road!?

Oh~….

I couldn’t go on by bike, so I got off and walked..
So hard..

I hardly recommend rent a scooter unless you have a lot of confidence about your physical power!!

I got to here, 掃叭石柱, the Stonehenge in Taiwan!
Finally~!

It’s good view~*
Well, I could come here, so I will go next sight on the mountain!!

Bicycle~…
So hot…

I was wearing jeans as chilly in the morning but I took off it as so hot.

I got to 北回帰線, Tropic of Cancer ~!!

I was riding the bike in such a clothes.
Anyway, I took a rest here~.
I ate apple that Daidai gave me in the morning*

Well, there is coffee and tea shop that information staff said.
So I keep going more.

Whoa~, good smell from this shop~!
I stopped here and knocked the door.

They served me famous local tea~***

They prepared 2 cups, just right cup has tea.

Then moved the tea to left one.
I guess it because make it cold a little bit??

Oolong tea, Hualien’s black tea and flower tea~*
Yummy~!

I asked some question in my little Chinese.

They showed me how to make the tea~!
So kind~!!

Then I went back to same road to next sight.
Return way was easy as steep! Yeah~!!

I got to 瑞穂農場, Ruisui farm.

Ostriches.

Cows.

This farm was small but beautiful.

Even the way to restroom.

I ate milk pudding with seeing the farm, 40NT(about 2USD)

Then I head to next sight.
I rode on a bike so long distance as same as I were in Kaohsioung(LOL)

I went back near train station, then headed to hot spring place.
Yes, I came to Ruisui for hot spring actually!

But it was far than I expected…
And it was steep road a little bit…hard…

I hardly recommend rent a scooter unless you have a lot of confidence about your physical power!!

Besides, the hot springs Daidai recommend, it was on soooooo steep road!!
When I walked with bike, local woman saw me and said “Are you sure!?”,,, yes, I’m sure..

I got to 瑞穂温泉, Ruisui hot springs!!
For 150NT(about 6USD)

When I entered, no one there!!
Yatta-!! Here is just for me~~~!!!!

The hot spring’s color was dark blown.
I wore bathing suit at outdoor bathtub.

Then I took indoor bathtub by naked.

It’s the sign about hot springs.
It seems saying, if couple wanna have boy, it’s good for taking this bath.
If you wanna have boy baby, come here!(LOL)

I took the bath for a hour and a half, then went back to train station.

I returned the bike, the time was perfect!

Train ticket to Hualien for 67NT(about 3USD) by local train.

Yes, I tried local train in this time.

Good mood in Ruisui station.

I got on the train.

What a old!!!
It’s the oldest train in my life!!!
I surprised!!!

Windows shaking and making loud noise, and half of the ceiling light didn’t work!!
And train made very loud sound when it was running.
I also went to bathroom as I couldn’t stand pee,,,, when I went inside, it was worser than India!!!
So smelly and dark!! No trash box and paper!!

It’s older than Thailand and Indhia!!!

I was so shocked!! Such a old train in Taiwan!!!!
Hey Taiwan, what happened!?!?

Besides, the express train was just 40 min but local train took 1.5hr…

I got to Hualien station, Daidai waited for me there 😀

We went to night market by her motorcycle*

Many people although it’s the small market!

Something inside on French toast.
Left one for 50NT(about 2USD), with buttered shrimp.
Right one for 45NT(about 2USD), with spicy chicken.
