To Vientiane

The bus stopped at somewhere about 4am, I thought bus driver sleep too.
But it was already border.

When I went out from the bus, there was other bus in front of our bus.
Many foreign tourist came out from the bus, and I surprised.

Very old bus!!

This is my bus.
The fee was 25USD, passenger were local people.
Very clean and comfortable, they gave us bottle of water.

But the tourist bus fee is 30~35USD, and many people on the bus…very old..
Wow,, I’m lucky!
Actually, tourist bus in Thailand is same, local bus is better than tourist bus.

Walk to Viet Nam immigration.
The immigration opened at 7am, but we waited 5 minutes, and immigration staff came there by motorbike.

Departure fee was 20000D(about 1USD)
We can pay by USD too.

They collect our passport but staff for putting stamp came to the immigration 15 minutes later.

Actually, I was first person gave my passport though, they return my passport in 20 minutes.Very late..

Next, I walked to border of Laos, about 1.5km.

I got to Laos border~.
Arrival fee is 17000kip(2USD)

Anyway, we can pay by USD too, so USD is useful in Cambodia, Viet Nam and Laos.

Border work took an hour even I was first person passed by the border.

I got on the bus again, wrote blog until now.

I ate breakfast on the bus.

Some people got on the bus on the way, so bus’s seat taken 100%.

I ate lunch at 12:00 on the bus, same bread from breakfast.

Bus stopped at restaurant on 1pm, but I wrote blog on the bus.

Then bus started at 1:50pm, very fast.
I thought the bus get to Vientiane very fast, actually we got to Vientiane at 3:30~!

But the bus got to bus terminal at suburb.
A mini bus’s woman said 20000kip(2USD) for each person to center.
When I asked how far to center, she said 15km.

She said Lao people pay same price…umm,,it’s a little bit expensive but no choice.

When I got on the mini bus, Thai passenger said 50B(about 1.50USD) to staff.
Yes, 20000kip(2USD) is expensive, but 50B(1.50USD) would be fine..because 15km far.

But it was just 5~6km actually. What!!

Anyway, here is center bus terminal in Vientiane, after 5 years~!
No difference from 5 years ago!

I paid 20000kip after Thai woman, she said 50B, then I said 50B in Thai language too, then the staff gave me change 🙂

Hey, the staff said Lao people and foreigner pay same 20000kip! But 5000kip different!!
Anyway, we can use Thai money here.
I’m lucky I could understand Thai language a little bit.

I know Vientiane already, so I walked to center.

Well, very hot today…but I walked to my friend Mon’s shop…

I said her that I come today~!!

But next door woman helped me to call Mon, so she came to the shop to pick me up.
Mon was in near her shop, she said she was seeing CM recording? So I followed her.
