There is free breakfast in Peace Hostel from 8am to 10am.

I took bath first, then went to kitchen at 8am.

Many people were already there, and I couldn’t find a seat.
I thought coming to kitchen at 8am is OK, but everyone thought same thing?

This is the free breakfast.
Not bad but just carbohydrate?

Well, Peace Hostel is in backside of Kyoto station, it’s good for going Toji and Kyoto station but not so many touristic place.
I checked out at 11am, then I head to next Hostel by T-project.

Santiago Guesthouse
Mix dorm for 12 people for 3300yen

The check-in will start from 3pm, but they keep baggage, so I went on.

Reception in on second floor, there are many cool vase.
And it seemed they got some award from Agoda in 2013.
When I checked the website of this hostel, website was cool and the price was expensive than the others, I guessed it must be good hostel.

I got here at noon, but no staff in reception.
There was just sign, “Put your baggage at storage room”

What!?!?

When I went to inside and looked the space, it was so small, no space for me.
I just put my baggage on the side, but no security at all.
I even ever seen such irresponsible hostel.

Is this lounge?
I expected big and cozy lounge, but it seems old, not so many information…
The website said this hostel opened in 2013, just last year, but I don’t feel so…

Why the fridge on lounge?
I wonder there is no kitchen in this hostel??

When I went to bathroom, many hair and water drop on the floor, difficult to walk.
Even the guest had to take their shoes off and no slipper..!

I couldn’t believe this hostel is same hostel on Internet.
I felt something strange, I wanted ask something to staff, but no staff…so I went out for sightseeing anyway.

Wow! I have seen this!
This hole is for cut bad connection and make good connection.
I wanted do that but I didn’t as I was alone.

Kinako icecream at Kyo Kinana for 360yen.
Yummy!

Then I walked around Nishiki food street.

Oyakodon for lunch at Maruki for 770yen*
Very soft egg, yummy~*

This is Koshi, one of Gion festival.
They played music at that time.

Well, I felt so hot in Kyoto, no place to go, I disappointed the hostel tonight, it made me going back Fukui, my hometown.

I sent message to Nakano-san about I go back Fukui tomorrow.

He came to see me and went to cafe.

Matcha ice cream float, no good***

I talked about my story, hostel staying and sightseeing these days.
He suggested staying in Kyoto few days more.
Ok, if you say so, I stay more.

Then wen went to dinner, my favorite Italian restaurant*

I went back to Santiago Guesthouse for check-in.
Finally I could meet a staff, so I asked something but he said there is no kitchen.
Lounge is just one, the small and old one.
Ummm,,, I wonder why this hostel has many good reviews on the internet…

This is the bed.
Only the bed is OK.
But there were many strange ladder on the side of the room. Why??

I went to bathroom for shower.
Many hair and water drops on the floor, narrow shower room, low power air fan, no shampoo or soap, nothing good.
Besides there is no hand towel for guest anywhere.

I felt so bad compare with the other 2 good hostels.

This is the cafe at first floor.
The guest can stay here at night as lounge, so I wanted use wi-fi but it didn’t work manytimes, useless.

When I went back to dorm room, no one rock the door key, it’s no security at all too.
When I went to bed, I heard many noise from street as there is main street and high way.

Santiago Guesthouse 3300yen(Just free water, no kitchen)… I stay here tonight.
