Day trip to Hikone

I still had a train ticket, the expirely date is tomorrow.

So I decided to go somewhere by this ticket!
The place is Hikone, I have never been there 🙂

Last ticket that I used finally!

From my place to Hikone, it’ll take 2.5hrs and had to change the train for 2 times.

First stop was Tsuruga, second was Omi-shiotsu.

This is the in front of the station, nothing!
But there are many old houses for worth to see.

I took train again.

I got to Hikone in 2.5hrs~!
I got free map from information, headed to castle.

There was small moat on the street, cool!

This is the cute character in Hikone, made by stone.

Before Hikone castle, I found shrine.

I prayed there.

When I tried to go to castle, I found other sign.
So I took other way.

Umoregino-ya.
Enter fee was 300yen.

It’s a traditional Japanese style old house made in 250 years ago.
Hikone castle king Naosuke Ii used to live there.

It was quite interesting, and volunteer guide man told me many information 🙂

The guide man gave me cards and sticker after guide, thank you!

Head to castle~.

This is the old horse house.

I bought the ticket for 1000yen.
This is for castle, museum and garden.

In the museum, there was Japanese samurai armor! Cool!

Cute character danced silently in museum.

Next, let’s go to castle~!

Beautiful garden.

There was boat cruise service around castle moat.

After castle, I hang around.
Looks like Arashiyama in Kyoto.

I found the icon for money!
Touched!

Beautiful Koi fishes on the street river.

I ate this black sweets for 150yen.

Shaved ice for 735yen.

I walked a lot today, then went back to Fukui after 9pm.

Hikone was nice place 🙂
